The amazing old harbor and the scenic lighthouse and alleyways are one of the reasons that make it so beautiful. During summer, the city is over crowded with people from around the world, while the northern side is developed with luxurious resorts and organized beaches. On the contrary, the southern side is secluded with traditional seaside villages.
Chania is also known for its rewarded beaches, like Balos Beach, Elafonisi and Falassarna Beach. However, it is something more than this.
