On our way to Elafonisi Beach tour, you will have the opportunity to visit the impressive cave of Agia Sophia. There are approximately 150 steps reaching up the cave, which will eventually lead you to a big opening. Upon arriving, you will witness many rows of massive stalagmites and stalactites as well as a tiny church.
On the other hand, around 5km north to the beach, lies the Chrysoskalitisa monastery. This monastery has been built on a high rock, giving the appearance of a fortress. According to the legend, the last step of the stairs that lead to the monastery is gold. However, the latter can only be seen by those who truly believe in God.
